Option 2
Car rental is available at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport. Self-driving gives you freedom to stop at Bantaeng, Bira Cave viewpoints, and Bugis phinisi shipyards en route. Use Google Maps or Waze — the Trans-Sulawesi route to Bulukumba is well-signposted. Free parking at the resort.
Option 3
Bus from Makassar's Terminal Daya to Bulukumba, then a connecting minibus (angkot) to Tanjung Bira. Departures most frequent in the morning. The most affordable option and a genuine local travel experience.
Route tip: Follow the Trans-Sulawesi Highway south to Bulukumba, then east toward the Bira peninsula. Enter "Tanjung Bira" or "Bara Beach Tanjung Bira" in Google Maps. On the final approach, look for signs to Pantai Bara — we are the clifftop property above the beach.
Via Selayar Ferry
If travelling from Selayar Island, the Pamatata ferry terminal is just a 5-minute drive from Seascapes Bira — making Bira an ideal first or last stop on a Selayar trip. Ferries run between Bira town and Pamatata several times daily with a ~1.5–2 hour crossing time.
